Knight Air Flight 816, being flown by G-OEAA, an Embraer 110 Bandeirante belonging to Knight Air, was an internal scheduled flight operating in between Leeds Bradford and Aberdeen airports on May 24, 1995. Shortly after the aircraft's 16:47 hours UTC departure from runway 14 problems were reported by the crew. The crew, who comprised the pilot in command, first officer and a flight attendant, then had severe problems maintaining their heading returning to the airport. The aircraft subsequently entered a left turn, rapidly lost height and crashed at Dunkeswick, North Yorkshire, after partly breaking up. None of the crew or nine passengers survived the crash.
